This privacy policy explains how The Trade Pack collects, stores and uses your personal information when you use this website (thetradepack.org) or buy one of our products. It applies to UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are.
The Trade Pack is operated by Stephen Adams, sole trader, UK. For data protection enquiries, contact hello@thetradepack.org.
What information we collect.
We collect only the information we need to run the business and deliver what you bought.
When you download the free calculator
- Your email address (via MailerLite)
- The date you signed up
When you buy a product
- Your name and email address (via Gumroad)
- Your payment details (processed by Gumroad's payment partners, we do not see or store card details)
- For done-with-you customers: your business name, Gas Safe or NICEIC / NAPIT number if relevant, phone, address and any details you provide during setup
When you contact us
- Your name, email and the content of your message (via Formspree)
When you visit the site
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or track visitors across sites. It tells us page views and basic country information only. No personal data is collected via analytics.
How we use your information.
- To deliver the product or download you bought or requested
- To contact you about the product (delivery, updates, fixes)
- To send occasional emails with related free guides, if you signed up to the newsletter. You can unsubscribe in one click at any time.
- To meet our legal obligations (tax records, etc.)
Lawful basis.
Contract: to deliver what you paid for.
Consent: when you sign up to the newsletter or download the free calculator.
Legitimate interest: to respond to your enquiries and run the business.
Legal obligation: where HMRC or other law requires us to keep records.
Who we share information with.
We use the following third-party providers. Your data may be stored on their servers:
- Gumroad (payments and download delivery)
- MailerLite (email list and the free calculator download)
- Formspree (contact form submissions)
- Cloudflare (hosting and privacy-friendly analytics)
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. Ever.
How long we keep your information.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, after which we remove you within 30 days
- Customers: 7 years from the purchase date (HMRC requirement)
- Contact form enquiries: 12 months, unless they are part of an ongoing customer relationship
Your rights.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct any information that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your data, where we are not required by law to keep it
- Withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk

Cookies.
This site does not set cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies. Gumroad and MailerLite may set cookies when you use their hosted services (checkout and email signup). Please see their own policies.
Changes to this policy.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes (for example, adding a new third-party processor) will be notified to existing customers by email.
